I'm Shailin. I build products, write, and like finding out what a new tool makes possible in practice.

I'm a Senior Product Manager at Covetrus, where I lead applied AI product work. I work with field teams, engineers, and leaders to understand the decisions people need to make, then build and improve tools around that work.

I like getting a prototype in front of someone and working through it together. Their questions often change what I thought the problem was. Making something useful takes that kind of back-and-forth.

Outside work, that curiosity shows up in personal projects, writing, and tools for the communities I'm part of. I'm interested in how people learn, share what they know, and find better ways to work together.

I studied neuroscience at Penn State. I live in New Jersey.

What I'm exploring

One recurring question is how to keep the thinking that happens between conversations. Open Brain grew out of that: I wanted the AI tools I use to work with my existing notes and decisions, so I could pick up where I left off.

This site is a place for the things I build and the thinking behind them. The writing helps me work through what I'm learning; the projects give those ideas something to answer to.
